Justin Turner's Walk-Off Homer Sends Dodgers to 2-0 Lead Over Cubs in NLCS

National League

Turner: 2-4, HR, 4 RBI
Game two of the NLCS went the same way as the first, though in more dramatic fashion, as Justin Turner belted a three-run homer in the bottom of the ninth, breaking a 1-1 tie for a 4-1 win, putting the Dodgers up two games to none as the series heads to Chicago for games three, four, and, if necessary, five.

Turner's belt came with two down in the final frame, with Brian Duensing taking the loss, though it was John Lackey who gave up the game-winning home run. After walking Yasiel Puig to open the inning, advancing to second via sacrifice, Duensing struck out Kyle Farmer for the second out.

Lackey came in to nail down the last out and ostensibly send the game to extra innings, but he walked Chris Taylor before facing Turner, who took the second pitch he saw out of the park to center.

Turner drove in all four Dodger runs, plating Charlie Culberson in the fifth to knot the score at 1-1. Turner's post-season numbers are astronomical. This season, he's batting .429 (9-for-21) with two homers, 10 RBI and a stolen base. His career post-season numbers are even more impressive: .377, 4 HR, 22 RBI, 3 SB.

The series resumes Tuesday in Chicago, 9:00 pm ET.

American League
