The rehabbed pitcher-turned-outfielder added a 2-run double in 4 at-bats to drive in 7 runs. The win got the Cardinals to within one game of the Cubs - who were losing to the Dodgers for the third time in four outings - in the NL Central race. But, according to a report by the NY Daily News published late Thursday night, Ankiel's (right) exploits may have been induced by unnatural means, specifically, the use of HGH (Human Growth Hormone). The story alleges that Ankiel received a 12-month supply of HGH from an Orlando pharmacy in 2004. The information came as part of Albany District Attorney David Soares' two-year investigation into illegal Internet prescription drug sales, which has brought 22 indictments and nine convictions. Ankiel is the most recent player involved, and the first baseball player. Last week, New England Patriots safety Rodney Harrison and Dallas Cowboys coach Wade Wilson were also implicated. Harrison was suspended for four games by the NFL. Wilson received a five-game suspension. LA Dodgers 7 Chi Cubs 4 - The Cubs should be happy now that the Dodgers have left town.
